Maxi Dress

I've had the fabric for this dress since the summer (I got it at a yard sale for a dollar ), but making it was a project with a capital P! Studying other maxi dresses to figure out the best design, planning the pattern, making the pattern, ironing between sewing panels together and ironing folds into the ribbon trim so it'll go on easier... Not counting the prep work, this took 9 hours to make. (Please keep in mind I hand-sew, so a machine user would've been done a lot sooner!

I'm quite happy with the result, save for one thing- this really doesn't do the fabric justice. Despite my best attempts, there's 3-4 colors in it that didn't make it into the dress. I need to think of a bigger project for what's left!
